“I enjoy the opportunity to discuss interesting and fun topics with students. It’s always great to find out what events in history students really enjoy and to examine them deeper. One of the main reasons I enjoy teaching is to help students understand the world that they live in and why it is the way it is. In today’s world there are many people who don’t see the big picture when it comes to the world around them and I truly feel that our social studies department shows the students the big picture and how to be successful, intelligent adults.

The reason I choose education as a career is much similar to why I enjoy teaching. I wanted a job that was fun and exciting. I enjoy a challenge and teaching high school students every day is certainly a challenge. Teachers are influential to the lives of numerous students every day; it’s a chance to help someone to achieve success in life. Overall, it’s a great profession and Luther North is a great place to teach.”
