The LNCP guidance department team consists of:



The goal of guidance is to assist students in becoming independent, mature, responsible, and healthy members of society. The ongoing aim of this department is to aid each student in his/her quest for successful self-direction and development from a Christian perspective.


The role of the guidance team is to serve as the students advocate relative to the needs and welfare of that student.

To that end the guidance team:
1. Encourage students to develop a healthy and realistic view of themselves in relation to their environment.
2. Help students plan, evaluate, practice, and problem-solve, as the individual has needs.
3. Assist teachers and parents in helping students deal with their problems.


Guidance Services Include:
1. Assist in course and academy selection
2. Testing for placement, career interests, academic development, and college admissions
3. Dissemination of occupational, scholarship, and educational information
4. Referral resources for students and parents
5. Personal-social counseling
6. New student orientation
7. College, employment, and career instruction/guidance
8. Tutoring
9. Study skill instruction
10. Peer counseling and peer mediation
