Luther North College Prep is pleased to announce we will be holding our second annual summer camp July 8-12 and 15-19.

We will be offering the following classes:

2013 SUMMER CAMP SCHEDULE

Basketball

9:30 am – 2 pm  July 8 – 12

Band

9 am – noon  July 15 – 19

Theatre

12:30 – 4:30 July 15 – 19

2013 SUMMER CAMP FEES

Early Registration Fees (through June 15)
One Class  $125.00

Two Classes save 10%  $225.00

Three Classes save 20%  $300.00

WHAT WE ARE OFFERING

Coed Basketball

Campers will  be instructed by LNCP Varsity Basketball Coach **Jason Tucker.  Campers will learn in-depth the fundamentals of basketball.  Your child will learn the importance of good foot work, ball handling, and shooting techniques while also learning offensive and defensive skills to excel in the game of basketball.  During morning hours, campers will work at fundamental stations receiving personalized training from coaches and high school players.  College basketball players will also assist and motivation the campers.

During the afternoon, campers will compete in team games. The camp includes a Luther North t-shirt and prizes for the winners of various levels of play.

Campers need: a bagged lunch, gym shoes,

water/Gatorade and towel

DATES  July 8 – 12, 2013

TIME:  9:30 am – 2:00 pm

FEE:   $125.00

**Coach Tucker played four years of college basketball and graduated from Concordia University Chicago in 2008.  Coach Tucker just finished his third year as head coach at Luther North College Prep.   He coached the Wildcats to the regional championship tournament this year.  He currently is a physical education teacher in Schiller Park. Coach Tucker has been around basketball for over 20 years of his life and believes in hard work and dedication.  Coach Tucker also coaches the U-16 Elite program at Illinois Old-School.  Coach Tucker wants his campers to know: “The most important thing is to have fun and enjoy the experience  of summer basketball at its finest.”

FINE ARTS

Band

The LNCP band director will lead a fun week of music instruction mixed with recreation.  The final event will be a performance at 7 pm on the 19th of July to showcase the talents of the campers. At least one year of experience on your instrument is required.

Campers need: their instrument (percussion will be provided). Drummers need to bring a pair of snare sticks.

FEE: $125.00


Theatre Class

Under the direction of the LNCP Drama Director, campers will be learning basic acting techniques and skills during this program.  There will be a scene showing at 7 pm Friday the 19th showcasing the talents of students involved. Campers need: comfortable clothing (ie., yoga pants, sweatpants, t-shirts, shorts).

TIME;  12:30 pm – 4:30 pm

FEE:  $125.00

**Students that register for both band and theatre programs will be supervised over the 1/2 hour lunch break.  Students will need to bring a bagged lunch and a beverage.

Registration fees are non-refundable.  LNCP reserves the right to cancel any class that does not meet the minimum

registration requirements.  Registration fees will be refunded if LNCP cancels a class due to low enrollment.
