Mr. Wenzel graduated from Luther High School North in 1997. He received his B.A. from Northeastern Illinois University, majoring in History and Secondary Education. He received his M.A. from Concordia University River Forest in educational leadership. Mr. Wenzel began teaching at Luther High School North during the 2002-2003 school year. He became Social Studies Department Chair in 2004, Dean of Students in 2008, and Assistant Principal in 2012, and Principal in 2013. He has also been the Varsity Baseball coach since 2005.

It was the reason I got into to teaching years ago and it’s a lifelong passion that has brought me immense pleasure and a sense of pride. I will continue on my life-long journey by mentoring the next generation of teachers and students to the best of my ability with the main goal of steering this exceptional school in the right direction. With my efforts, I hope that Luther North College Prep can continue to thrive and succeed for decades to come.”
