C. Richard Hagen (Luther North Class of 1954) was recently awarded Honorary Doctor of Science from Valparaiso University for his contributions to particle physics and the theory of mass generation (May 2012). Previously, Professor Hagen of the University of Rochester’s Physics Department was awarded The American Physical Society’s 2010 J. J. Sakurai Prize for Theoretical Particle Physics. Press Release
