Ms. Gawenda received her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign. She went on to receive her Master's Degree in School Counseling from Lewis University (Romeoville, IL). After graduating, she worked in Special Education at Lincoln-Way Central High School (New Lenox, IL) and then in the Counseling Department at Dwight D. Eisenhower High School (Blue Island, IL) before making the transition to be a School Counselor at Luther North College Prep in 2015. Her professional beliefs are centered on her vision and passion for Christ, education, and students. She has chosen to be in education in order to guide and educate the future generation and leaders of our society. Her hobbies include playing and coaching volleyball, traveling, and spending time with her family.
