Academic Team

Luther North High School provides opportunities for students to participate in its Academic Challenge Team. The Luther North Academic Team participates in a number of competitions during the school year, including both buzzer-style team competitions and WYSE.

WYSE, or Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering, is a program run by the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. WYSE, is designed to spark an interest in science and engineering among high school students, and involves tests of knowledge in subjects as diverse as English, chemistry, engineering graphics, and computer science.
